Temperature
Factor
The
temperature factor (TF) as annotated in a PDB file, is shown here.
The Temperature Factor indicates
the level of the mobility for the atoms in the crystal. The BLUE STAR STING
JPD indicates 3 values: TF at the Ca, Max encountered TF among all atoms
belonging to the selected amino acid and finally, the average TF value.
Placing the cursor above this element: pop-up area will show the position
(sequence number and amino acid three letter code) for selected amino
acid and the 4 numerical values for TF for given amino acid.
Left mouse click: no action
Right mouse
click: on any of the "TF" will generate following menu and
actions:

A) "Temperature
Factor X-Y Graphics" will produce following Java X-Y graphics (X=
sequence number, Y= Temperature Factor) with the interactive possibilities
described in dedicated
HELP manual:
B) STING it "Temperature Factor @Calpha": This option generates
structural presentation with color coding of the amino acids corresponding
to the "Temperature Factor " color coding. Amino acids are presented
in CPK rendering.
C) STING it "Temperature Factor @LHA": This option generates
structural presentation with color coding of the amino acids corresponding
to the "Temperature Factor " color coding. Amino acids are presented
in CPK rendering.
D) STING it "Temperature Factor Mean": This option generates
structural presentation with color coding of the amino acids corresponding
to the calculated Average Temperature
Factor values taken from all atoms. Amino acids
are presented in CPK rendering.
E) STING it "Temperature Factor Absolute": This option generates
structural presentation with color coding of the amino acids corresponding
to the "Temperature Factor " color coding. The absolute Maximal
value is shown. Amino acids are presented in CPK rendering.
